One Room Challenge Fall 2021 | Week 5 |

It’s week five of the One Room Challenge and we are making progress ! I’ve received the drapery, artwork is in production, lighting and the boucle bench of my dreams has arrived. But this week, we’re talking all things paint!

Yesterday in IG Stories I shared a poll to get your option on the Clare paint color options in my space. I shared a photo during the day and one at night to show how much impact different levels of light has on your paint color. And to be honest, I wasn’t expecting y’all to enjoy that share so much! Check out the poll and the results below.

As you can see, ‘Shade’ was the winner by far and in my opinion, it’s the best color for the look I wanted to achieve. It has the perfect amount of charcoal and tan without feeling too cool or too warm! Penthouse was the runner up and was certainly my second choice. My only issue with Penthouse was the fact that it was picking up too much green from the plant being placed near swatch. Yes, I could’ve moved the plant and got a feel for the true color, but I’ll be incorporating a ton of plants (as you already know -lol); and the green hue would be picked up all over the space.

So, with all of this info taken into account, I’m gonna go with ‘Shade’ although a lot people expressed their disliking for the color but I like it, A LOTTTTT. I’m excited to announce that the paint has been ordered as of (10/27) and I can’t wait to get the walls painted and the lighting installed!
